Hello All Sorry that there was a delay in getting this report out - I only got a call from the observer this am.
On Monday evening, at 7 pm, a Brown Pelican was observed flying past a cottage on East Beach Road (this road runs south of Hillman Marsh toward Point Pelee). The observer is very familiar with this bird from visits to Florida, and was confident in the identification. The bird was observed flying south along the shoreline towards to park. Another wandering bird to keep and eye open for on Lake Erie, if you're out looking for the frigatebird. Good Birding!
