The Magnificent Frigatebird roosted last night in a tree on the north jetty of
Sturgeon Creek,
and is still there at 6:00 am today July 1st, same location as where she spent
most of yesterday
June 30th. As reported by Ellen Smout the closest view is near 624 Robson Road
(north side of
Sturgeon Creek, Lake Erie waterfront, Leamington) where a landowner has allowed
visitors to
view from his dock. Yesterday she made some brief forays over the lake but the
consensus is
she doesn't appear healthy. When flying visitors are welcome to use the deck at
Pelee Wings for
a lookout.
