I happened to be doing a dragonfly survey adjacent to the Milton Velodrome
today. On the southwest side of the building (next to the stormwater management
pond) I observed a female Dickcissel with one young Dickcissel, as well as two
Brown-headed Cowbird young in tow. So, I suppose it was a semi-successful
nesting!

About 700 m southwest of the Velodrome, I also observed a family of Marsh Wrens
in a large cattail marsh. That was a nice surprise.
