Weather: Not a bad day for migration up until rain moved in at around 1 p.m. Winds were light to moderate from the NW and temp got to a high of 16C. Raptor Observations: A small flight today with just 37 birds... but some variety with Sharpies (14) and Kestrels (14), N. Harriers (2), Red-shoulders (2), a few Broadwings (3) and Merlins (2). Non-raptor Observations: Non-raptor sightings included... Downy and Red-bellied Woodpecker, Blue Jays, N. Cardinals, Cedar Waxwings, Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, Swainson's Thrush, Philadelphia and Yellow-throated Vireos, Gray Catbirds, BC Chickadees, once again many warblers... Blue-winged, Black and white, Nashville, Am. Redstart, Cape May, Bay-breasted, Chestnut-sided, Black-throated blue, Black-throated green, Wilson, Canada, Common Yellowthroat, Blackburnian, Ovenbird and Blackpoll, Philadelphia and Red-eyed Vireos, WB Nuthatch, E. Phoebe, E. Pewee, Canada Geese, DC Cormorant, Am. Crow, Am. Robin. Monarchs tallied today: 31 Predictions: Tomorrow's weather looks promising with predicted NE winds and lots of sunshine and a bit of cloud.
