Posting on behalf of the finders, Richard Rowlee and Sheila Craig (whom aren't subscribers to this listserve). Richard sent a photo of a Prothonotary Warbler that he and Sheila Craig observed and photographed at Mud Lake in Ottawa. They saw the bird at approximately 11 AM this (Sunday) morning while birding the new clear cut section on the west side of the lake. From Cassels Street, walk S approximately 250 m; the clear cut section will be to your west.
Directions: From the 417 take the Pinecrest exit and travel N along Pinecrest to Carling. Head east on Carling to Richmond Rd. Head NE on Richmond to Poulin Ave, then head N on Poulin. Poulin becomes Howe Street around the bend; take it to Britannia Rd then head N on Britannia. At the end of Britannia you reach Cassels; head E on Cassels to the Mud Lake trailhead.
