Hi there,

Sarah Lamond and I refound the Western Sandpiper tonight just before sunset
along the inside of the north edge berm of Tollgate Ponds, roughly in the same
spot that many of us saw it earlier today. It was moving around and actively
feeding between the rocks at the edge of the pond until it was too dim to see.
I think there is a fair chance that it and the other shorebirds present will be
here again in the morning.

As Rich mentioned earlier, Tollgate Ponds can be viewed with a telescope from
Eastport Dr., slightly north of the skyway bridge, in Hamilton.

Good birding!
