Weather: Today it was rain as predicted with strong E and eventually NE winds. Complete cloud cover and cooler temps that actually dropped from 11C to 10C as the rain pushed in. Raptor Observations: Just 7 birds today... 3 N. Harriers, 2 Sharpies, a lone Cooper's Hawk and single Am. Kestrel. Non-raptor Observations: A few non-raptors reported with Am. Crows, Eastern Phoebe, YB Sapsucker, Blue Jays, Winter Wren, Am. Robins and Common Loon. Monarch count: 5 Predictions: Thursday could still see more rain... and predicted winds aren't the best being strong from the E. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Dave Brown ([email protected]) Hawk Cliff Hawkwatch information may be found at: http://www.ezlink.ca/~thebrowns/HawkCliff/index.htm More site information at hawkcount.org: http://hawkcount.org/siteinfo.php?rsite=392 _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists (OFO) - the provincial birding organization.
