Just a quick note to report that as of early this morning, the Black-throated Gray Warbler was still present in the buckthorns along the Ottawa River, northwest of the second building of the Britannia Filtration Plant. It is easy to miss though, calling infrequently, and often concealed by the leaves remaining on the buckthorns. It was not associating with any other birds, although there were also 2 Golden-crowned Kinglets nearby.
Directions: from the small parking area on Cassels Street at the entrance to the filtration plant, walk east along the shrubs lining the river Marcel Gahbauer Ottawa ON [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists (OFO) - the provincial birding organization.
