Hello All,
At noon today (11-26), Jean and I observed a Brant from the parking area of Crystal Beach Waterfront Park in Crystal Beach. Looking west from the parking area (towards where The Comet used to stand), the Brant was easily seen playing/feeding in the surf amongst the Mallards, Gadwalls (2) and American Wigeons (2) along the beach shoreline. The Brant was first observed by Wally Parker on Saturday and posted on the Niagara Bird Watchers Facebook page.
Directions: From St. Catharines, travel south on the Fort Erie bound QEW. Exit at Sodom Rd/Reg. Rd. 116 (Exit 16). Continue on Reg. Rd 116 until you reach Terrace Lane in Crystal Beach. Turn left onto Terrace Lane to reach the park and parking area.
