brought warmer conditions. Here are the highlights of the last week:

WOOD DUCK - the female seen at Invista on 10th and 14th was presumably the

later on 14th at a residential feeding station near the airport, all
locations in Kingston.

NORTHERN PINTAIL - 2 males were seen at Springside Park, Napanee on 14th,
with the 'Kingston bird' seen at a residential feeding station on 11th.

RED-NECKED GREBE - 2 birds were seen at Kingston Mills on 14th.

ICELAND GULL - an immature bird was present at Lansdowne dump on 14th.

GLAUCOUS GULL - an adult was seen at Lansdowne dump on 14th.

SNOWY OWL - birds continue to be seen regularly on Wolfe and Amherst
Islands. All farmland on both islands is private - please no trespassing.

YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER - continuing birds were seen north of the city near
Battersea and Lower Brewer's Locks on several dates.

PEREGRINE FALCON - the resident downtown Kingston birds were seen on 13th
and 14th.

RED CROSSBILL - birds were seen near Verona on 15th.

RUSTY BLACKBIRD - a male was seen on 13th Line, Wolfe Island on 12th.

COMMON GRACKLE - a single was seen at Ivy Lea on 10th.

In order to minimise disturbance to wildlife and property in the recording
area, Kingston Field Naturalists has adopted the KFN Sensitive Sightings
Policy
<http://kingstonfieldnaturalists.org/birding/KFN_sensitive_sightings_policy.
pdf> . Please note that you must be a member of Kingston Field Naturalists
(KFN) or be accompanied by a member to access the Martin Edwards Reserve.

As always, a big thank you goes to all those who have submitted sightings
directly or via eBird.

Mark.
