The Barnacle Goose continues today in Schomberg, and into this evening as well. I ran into lots of birders trying to view the bird at the Trisan Center platform, but it was only visible from the sewage treatment parking lot, east of the center across the pond. It was in the pond, along with many Canadas and a good number of Cackling, just south of the sewage plant. The gate to the plant is open, I would think for birders? The entrance to the road to the plant is on the north side of the center. Good luck, but keep in mind that it seems to follow the schedule of leaving with the flock to feed at 6 pm in fields around the center.
Good birding! _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists (OFO) - the provincial birding organization.
