Today marks the beginning of the Festival of Flight at Rondeau Provincial Park!
With the warmer temperatures over the past few days, we saw the first big push of warblers and other passerine species. Our morning hike on the Maintenance Loop Trail had a total of 50 species including many spring firsts. Highlights included: - Least Flycatcher - Northern Parula - Nashville Warbler - Pine Warbler - Black-throated Green Warbler - Palm Warbler - Black and White Warbler - Foresters Tern (flyover) - Blue-headed Vireo - Yellow-throated Vireo Rose-breasted Grosbeaks and Baltimore Orioles have been visiting the feeders at the Visitor Centre. Join us tonight for our next guided bird hike at the Marsh Trail at 7:00pm! All hikes are $10/person. Stop by or call the Visitor Centre at 519-674-1768 to sign up!
