Another great morning of birding in the park. Highlights included Kentucky
Warbler along Chinquapin Trail between the Cactus field and Tilden, Hooded
Warbler in Tilden's, Prothonotary Warbler near park entrance, Yellow-breasted
Chat flying off the tip, and Blue-winged Warblers at multiple locations. So far
a total of 23 species of warblers were reported this morning. Both Tilden Woods
and Woodland Nature Trail along with Redbud Seasonal Footpath had a good
variety warblers. A Yellow-billed Cuckoo was reported from Post Woods Seasonal
Footpath and a Green Heron was seen flying over The Tip.

Bird activity at the Tip was again excellent with a large reverse migration,
mainly blackbirds, along with Baltimore and Orchard Orioles, Indigo Buntings,
Red-headed Woodpeckers, and a Yellow-breasted Chat among many warblers flying
overhead.

Other birds of note include a Sedge Wren in the Sparrow Field, both Sedge Wren
and Grasshopper Sparrow along West Beach at the Serengeti tree.

In general there are lots of birds in the park, with more bird song and new
arrivals being reported.

Good Birding,
