Festival of Flight May 5th (Morning)

A busy morning here at Rondeau, with the birds following the same pattern as
the past few days. The action is primarily in the north end of the park at
Maintenance Trail as well as the Marsh Trail. Three Prothonotary Warblers have
been spotted on Bennett rd within the slews. Also on Bennet a male Hooded
Warbler was found on the Harrison Trail just south of the rd. Also a
Yellow-breasted Vireo, and a Orange-crowned warbler were found on the Harrison
trail near the Pony Barn. Following the pattern of activity north a
Yellow-breasted Chat as well as several other warbler species are showing well
in the Maintenance Trail Area. Further north action continues with a female
Cerulean Warbler at Beach access #2 along Lake Shore Rd. The Kentucky was not
found yesterday or this morning so far.

The Visitor Centre along with several cottages are still out of power following
the storm yesterday evening. The Visitor Centre will remained closed until
power is restored. Park office as well as the gates for the park and camp site
are still operational.

Join us from May 1st until the 20th for the Festival of Flight!
