It was a cool start to the morning, but there is quite a bit of activity
throughout the park, though the volume of birds is relatively low.

Highlights included a SNOWY EGRET flying south past the Marsh Boardwalk, a
KENTUCKY WARBLER at the Tip, and a GLAUCOUS GULL seen flying north along the
east beach.

About 24 species of warbler have been noted so far along with a number of other
common migrants and local nesters.

At the Tip a KENTUCKY WARBLER and a Tufted Titmouse were seen briefly. A
YELLOW-BREASTED CHAT was singing in Sparrow Field.

On Woodland Nature Trail there was more activity including a female SUMMER
TANAGER between post 4 and 7, and a young male Purple Finch was seen near post
7. LOUISIANA WATERTHRUSH and HOODED WARBLER have been near C bridge, and the
PROTHONOTARY WABLER was still near bridge F.

Offshore at the halfway tram spot on the west beach birders noted WHITE-WINGED,
SURF, and two BLACK SCOTERS.

In Tilden Woods, warblers included a GOLDEN-WINGED, WILSON'S, BLACKBURNIAN, and
many of the more common species. A YELLOW-THROATED VIREO was also seen.

This is another start to a great day of birding in the Point Pelee area!
