After another clear but cool night, the morning started off with several
exciting birds being seen.

One of the few park records of PILEATED WOODPECKER was observed in the Tip area
before heading north along East Beach past the Sparrow Field. Other highlights
included a LECONTE'S SPARROW seen on the east side of Cactus Field, and a
KENTUCKY WARBLER along Woodland Nature Trail.

Interesting warbler sightings so far today include singing PRAIRIE WARBLER,
HOODED WARBLER, CANADA WARBLER and MOURNING WARBLER along the Tilden Woods
Trail, as well as 3 male PROTHONOTARY WARBLERS on the Woodland Nature Trail.

Flyovers of note include a GLAUCOUS GULL and PEREGRINE FALCON.

WHITE-EYED VIREOS have been seen both at the Tip and south of the Woodland
Nature Trail. YELLOW-THROATED VIREOS were seen at the Sparrow Field and on the
Tilden Woods Trail.

Overall another beautiful day birding in the park!
