It’s a cold overcast morning here at Rondeau and in result a slow morning for
bird activity.

The north end of the park is continuing to be the better area for birds, with
Water St and Pony Barn being the best spots for the past few hours.

The birds are primarily staying low and on the ground foraging in the leaf
litter. Thicker areas of vegetation with leaf cover are the best places to look
for bird activity.

A Summer Tanager continues to show well on Water St actively foraging. A
Clay-coloured Sparrow was found at the picnic area across from the Campsite
office. Also a Mourning Warbler along with several other species were seen at
Pony Barn.

Join us from May 1st until the 20th for the Festival of Flight!
