Festival of Flight May 13th Morning Report A fairly slow morning here in Rondeau after a wicked storm yesterday.
The birds are staying high up in mature trees within the north end of the park. The beginning of Harrison Trail starting at Pony Barn has been the best spot for birds this morning. The Summer Tanager continues to show well on Water St south of the Marsh Trail parking lot. Seven Red-throated Loons have been seen off of Beach access 2 and 10. Prothonotary Warblers are also showing well on Tulip Tree Trail. A Canada Warbler along with 12 other species of warblers have been sighted in and around the Pony Barn area including the Log Pond. The wifi was disabled for the entirety of yesterday because of the intense storm that occurred, in result prohibiting the ability to post on any internet platform. Our apologies for the lack of bird reports yesterday. Join us from May 1st until the 20th for the Festival of Flight!
