We had a fine start to the day with some reverse movement off the Tip, but the
rainstorm has settled in sending people into shelter. We are awaiting the rain
to stop before continuing to bird.

At the Tip, a few things were reported. The reverse movement of birds in the
light south winds included many orioles and other blackbirds, but also an
OLIVE-SIDED FLYCATCHER. There was also a MOURNING WARBLER and ORANGE-CROWNED
WARBLER. There was a CLAY-COLORED SPARROW reported from the east side near the
Tip. A RED-THROATED LOON was also seen off the Tip.

Woodland Nature Trail reported some good birds as well. There is still a
PROTHONOTARY WARBLER at bridge F, and near there a WHITE-EYED VIREO was seen.
There was a MOURNING WARBLER and HOODED WARBLER near the Botham Loop.

There was also a CLAY-COLORED SPARROW in the Visitor Centre Parking Lot. There
was an OLIVE-SIDED FLYCATCHER seen near the Visitor Centre too.

In Tilden Woods a MOURNING WARBLER was reported from near the bench near the
south Seasonal Trail.

In the Cactus Field there were reports of a YELLOW-BREASTED CHAT and
OLIVE-SIDED FLYCATCHER.

A GRASSHOPPER SPARROW was seen beach side at White Pine.
