Festival of Flight May 14th Afternoon Report The day has remained fairly slow for bird activity with the exception of Harrison Tail south of Bennett Rd. Birds are staying high in the mature trees along with the dense shrubs.
The Summer Tanager continues to show well on Water St. South of the Marsh Trail Parking lot. Two Blackpoll Warblers were found this afternoon on Harrison as well as 20 other Warbler Species. Black-billed Cuckoo and a Philadelphia Vireo were also seen along Harrison. Rondeau Provincial Park is closing its campsites from today until further notice due to extreme flooding in the camp area. Day use is still open as well as all of the park facility’s. The conditions of many of our trails require boots and rain gear in order to complete comfortably. Harrison Trail, and Bennett Rd are excellent options to stay dry and avoid large puddles. Join us From May 1st until the 20th for the Festival of Flight!
