Festival of Flight May 15 Afternoon Report

Overall a fantastic day to go birding in the park. 25 Species of Warblers in
the park and over 120 species of birds have been sighted in today.

The birds are well spread out with action coming from almost every trail in the
park. Bennett Rd and Harrison Trail continue to be the most popular places for
birding.

5 Red-throated Loons have been spotted off of Beach Access 2. The Summer
Tanager continues to show well (past 6 days) off of Water St south of
Maintenance Trail.

No big rarity’s have been found in the park today but are likely here and just
haven’t been found!

The Campsite is closed because of flooding until further notice. Rain-boots are
a requirement to use many of the trails here in the park.

Join us from May 1st until then 20th for the Festival of Flight!
