It is another beautiful day out in the park, and there has been a noticeable influx of new arrivals overnight.
Bird activity at the Tip first thing this morning was moderate, with a bit of a reverse movement of blackbirds, CEDAR WAXWINGS, and INDIGO BUNTINGS. A flock of WHIMBREL was observed flying past the Tip. A MOURNING WARBLER, CANADA WARBLER, and YELLOW-BELLIED FLYCATCHER were also observed along the Tip road between the Visitor Centre and the halfway stop. A WHITE-EYED VIREO was singing at the north end of the Black Willow Beach parking lot. A BLACKPOLL WARBLER, PROTHONOTARY WARBLER, and multiple WILSON'S and CANADA WARBLERS were reported from the Tilden Woods Trail, where there has been quite a bit of bird activity. A YELLOW-THROATED VIREO was also seen on the Tilden Woods Trail. There is a good variety of warblers and other migrants throughout the park to keep birders busy.
