This morning, Friday, September 14, a juvenile Little Blue Heron was
observed on the Grand River at the confluence of the Grand and Speed
rivers from
8:04 a.m. to 8:11 a.m. Bird was scoped by Bill Wilson and photographed by
B. Wilson, B. Johnson and D. Thomas from the benches along the trail; bird
was about 280m along the shoreline of the baylet on the Grand. I will post
if refound.

Hwy 401 exit # 278, Highway 8 to Cambridge-Preston. Proceed down Shantz
Hill and keep left on Fountain Street; turn right on to King Street at the
lights. Proceed on King Street, over the Speed River bridge to intersection
with Westminster Drive where there are lights. Turn right at lights and
follow Westminster to where it curves left and becomes Riverside Drive.
Park along road and walk across grass to the benches which overlook the
confluence of the Grand and Speed rivers.
