Visitors:
This was the Sunday of the first weekend of our Hawk Festival. Many
visitors were our for a Sunday stroll lacking binoculars but had a
willingness to climb the tower to see the sights in the warm sun.

Be sure to visit next weekend for the second Festival.


Weather:
Rather warm 24-28 Degrees C; Wind mostly NE at less than 3 mph; Clear Sky.
Weather not conducive to strong bunching of birds along the north shore of
Lake Erie. Therefore few birds seen in each group.

Raptor Observations:
Makeup of the 199 total is BW-60%, SS-27%, RT-3% & AK-3%; TV-2%;  BE, CH,
NH, & PG- 1,5% each.
Coverage of the 11-12 hour did not occur.

Non-raptor Observations:
Blue Jays 83,795, Monarch 30, American White Pelican 3 (fly over) Caspian
Tern-6, Common Tern-4, Mute Swan-45.

Predictions:
Warm with NE and southern wind flow.
