At 2pm today we had a Nelson’s Sparrow at Cranberry Marsh at the north
viewing platform on Halls Road. It was 10 feet beyond the railing and
popped up out of the reeds and into view 3 times, each one fleeting, but
enough to ID it.

There was also a Rough-Legged Hawk in a tree on the east side of Halls Road
that was very close and cooperative. Great for photos or in-depth study.

Cranberry Marsh/Halls Road is south of Victoria Street in Whitby.
