Hi all,

Frank Pinilla and I had the Slaty-backed Gull come in very briely this evening
at 4:36 pm from Olmsted Beach at the west end of Trout Lake. It landed on the
water for only minutes before taking flight with the entire group of about 75
Herrings, several Great-Black Backed and Glaucous Gulls.

Directions as per Richard’s previous post:

Trout Lake is about 3 miles due east, along Trout Lake Road - which is
the third stoplight one encounters along the hwy 11, 17 bypass through the
centre of the city.
North Bay is about 3 1/2 hours due north of Toronto.

Good birding,
Dave Szmyr
