April 21 east of Burk’s Falls in a flooded section of North Creek there was a pair of Gadwall. Also in this flooded field there was a very good assortment of newly arrived duck species, Black, Mallard, Green-winged Teal, Ring-necked Duck, approx. 12 N. Pintail , Hooded Merganser, a pair of N. Shoveler, and 15 Am. Wigeon. At least 3 Greater Yellowlegs and approx. 50 Canada Geese.
Burk’s Falls is located along hwy. 11 between Huntsville and North Bay. >From Burk’s falls take hwy. 520 west for 3 km to the Midliothian Rd on the >left. The Flooded fields are at this corner.
