The participant of the Saturday and Sunday OFO trips to the Bruce Peninsula
observed a collective total of 91 species of birds.

On Sunday, under sunny blue sky conditions (we were north of the rain
storms) the group birded the Ferndale Flats, Dyer's Bay Road, the Dyer's Bay
Shoreline from Dyer's Bay to Cabot Head and finally the Tobermory area.
Although the Lark Sparrow was missed there were many highlights including
both Horned and Red-necked Grebes, Sandhill Cranes, 2 Greater Yellowlegs,
60+ Turkey Vulture hovering at Cabot Head, numerous Bald Eagles (included an
active nest), Eastern Bluebirds, Hermit Thrushes, Common Redpolls, Pine
Siskins, Evening Grosbeaks, Fox Sparrows, Dark-eyed Juncos and Yellow-rumped
Warbler.

On Sunday the group visited the western shore of the Bruce from Stokes Bay
southwards to Oliphant and the Issac Lake area. There were large number of
ducks on Stokes Bay, consisting of 15 species of Waterfowl including one
Ruddy Duck. Northern Shoveler and American Black Duck were at other
locations. Near Mar two Brewer's Blackbirds were found at the traditional
nesting area. Numerous Osprey were observed included active nest platforms.
Great Egrets at numerous locations and Greater Yellowlegs were noted. A
true spring sign were calling Leopard Frogs at several locations and a
