Rondeau Festival of Flight May 2nd Morning Report Some new arrivals this morning with good diversity and number of birds spread out across the park. Least Flycatchers, Blackburnian. Black-throated blue, Black-throated green, Pine, and Black and White Warblers are showing strong numbers today.
Two Hooded Warblers were spotted at Warbler Way this morning along with 14 other warbler species. A Blackpoll Warbler was seen on Tulip Tree Trail to finish the morning with an excellent 16 species of warblers. Also, note worthy is the hyper-abundance of White-throated Sparrows that have descended on Rondeau. The south end of Harrison Trail, South Point, and Marsh Trail are extremely wet and flooded in parts, tall boots are recommended. Join us from May 1st until the 19th for the Festival of Flight.
