At 3:00 p.m. an American Woodcock landed about ten feet away from me in the
dead leaves among the trees up the small hill to the west of the washrooms
in Ashbridges Bay Park. It stayed for about five seconds and then flew away
low down due south. Did not find it again.

The beach is flooded again, as in 2017, so hope for some great shorebirds in
the next few weeks.

Ashbridges Bay Park is at the foot of Coxwell Avenue. At the lights at
Lakeshore Blvd continue on Ashbridges Bay Park Road, take the first right to
the large parking lot where the boat ramps are. Walk due south from the
parking lot into the park.
