Spoke too soon.

This morning Andrew Couturier found a deceased female Lesser Nighthawk on the
side of Hwy59 adjacent to the Old Provincial Park on Long Point. This is the
second record for the province, and first for Long Point bringing the checklist
to 403 species.

Pictures can be observed on the LPBO sightings board -
https://www.birdscanada.org/longpoint/?targetpg=lpbosight

Measurements all fit perfectly for Lesser Nighthawk. The specimen will be
prepared and archived at the Royal Ontario Museum. It’s a tiny little thing.

Good birding,

Stu
