We are seeing rather cool windy conditions at Point Pelee today but a number of good birds are still being reported. The birding is steady but not as frantic as it was yesterday. Reports of YELLOW-THROATED WARBLER, PRAIRIE WARBLER, KIRTLAND'S WARBLER, AND KENTUCKY WARBLER were noted. The Tip was quieter with fewer birds than yesterday. A YELLOW-HEADED BLACKBIRD was reported but moving northward. Both COMMON and BLACK TERN were seen. A EURASIAN COLLARED DOVE was noted also heading north. PRAIRIE WARBLERS were reported from West Beach footpath north of the Tram loop at the Tip, Woodland Nature Trail near the Redbud Trail, near Cactus Field, and on the beach at Sanctuary. Also on the beach at Sanctuary was a YELLOW-THROATED WARBLER. About 300 m north of the halfway point Tram Stop on the West Beach footpath there was a WHITE-EYED VIREO. The KENTUCKY WARBLER was along Tilden's Trail at the first wet area north of Shuster Trail. A NORTHERN MOCKINGBIRD was noted near the Park Orientation Display, on the beach. The KIRTLAND'S WARBLER was noted just south of Dunes Picnic area along the west trail and the beach, gradually heading south.
