Yesterday, around 4:30 pm, I found and photographed a male Prairie Warbler in company of two Black-throated Blue Warblers and 2 male American Redstarts actively feeding among the high shrubs along the north-east corner of a stand of deciduous trees along the trail to Bowmanville - Westside Marsh from West Beach Road Coordinates 43.890497, -78.675227. Also keep an eye open for the pair of palm warblers feeding in the low pines immediately adjacent as well as 4 Yellow Warblers.
To get there from Toronto, take the East bound 401 and the off ramp Exit 432. Turn left on to Liberty Street, then immediate right on to Lake Road, another right on to Port Darlington Road, then another right on to West Beach Road. Continue over the river and around a sharp bend and the parking lot is immediately on the right as you come around the bend. Good luck Wayne Humphries _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists (OFO) - the provincial birding organization.
