On this beautiful bright day, as things warmed up people were finding many birds. HOODED, WORM-EATING, CERULEAN, BLUE-WINGED, CANADA, GOLDEN-WINGED WARBLERS have been observed. No sign of the KENTUCKY or YELLOW-THROATED WARBLERS from yesterday. About 28 species of warbler have been recorded. A LEAST BITTERN in a tree was a popular sighting at the Tip. Also a CHUCK-WILL'S-WIDOW has just been found about 100 m north of the Sparrow Field on Post Wood Trail. On Redbud Trail HOODED, BLUE-WINGED and WORM-EATING WARBLERS were noted. Also a YELLOW-BREASTED CHAT. Woodland Trail near the F bridge reported a CERULEAN WARBLER, with a second one near the Visitor Centre. Also on Woodland Trail HOODED WARBLER, and several PROTHONOTARY WARBLERS. CLAY-COLORED SPARROW was on the beach between White Pine and Black Willow. Both BLACK-BILLED and YELLOW-BILLED CUCKOOS are in several locations in the park. BLACK TERNS are back on the marsh.
