Last night Paul Prior saw a Hudsonian Godwit and Whimbrel at Cell 2 before
dusk, but reported they flew farther into the park. Hoping they’d return I
relocated both and many other shorebirds here by 8 this morning
The Hudsonian is still being viewed by many in Cell 2, along with. Stilt,
Baird's and all of the smaller shorebirds. The Whimbrel was flushed early by a
Northern Harrier
To get to Tommy Thompson take Lakeshore Blvd East to Leslie Street, turn south
and drive to Unwin Ave. The main Leslie entrance is closed so turn right on
Unwin and drive west until you approach a metal bridge. Turn left (sign says
475 Unwin) and drive until you come to the entrance to the Outer Harbour
Marina. Park along the sides of the driveway then walk into Tommy just west.
Take that side entrance to the main Spine Road, turn right and walk south til
you see the second body of water, Cell 2
