Hey,

I had 3 Parasitic Jaeger (one sub-adult, 2 dark juvs) off Port Franks Beach
this morning, travelling as a group and putting a pretty good beat-down on some
of the local Ring-bills. When I left at noon there was still two birds, well
out, sitting on the water.

This area has perplexed me so far, as all of my good days have been in calm
conditions with south or SE winds - certainly not the conditions that tend to
be favourable elsewhere along Huron for offshore pelagic-types. The only
requirement seems to be feeding flocks of gulls and terns relatively close to
shore and that seems to vary almost hour to hour.

Directions - From Hwy 21, take Outer Drive to Dolway to Raeburn to the parking
lot.

Cheers,

James H.
