Yesterday at 3:30 I found an Ibis but was unsure as to which it was (glossy or
white-faced).  Initial pictures weren't the best, so I sent messages on 2 area
What's App to over 50 birders hoping someone else could re-find the bird.  The
Ibis did fly right over me shortly after this and I was able to get pictures.
Sent the best one to a few experts, one being the top birder for the entire
state of Texas.  He confirmed the ID as being a juv. White-faced Ibis.
It was seen flying and landing on the North East side of Hillman Marsh along
the long trail.  Best opportunities to see it would include from the boardwalk
to the small tower along the long trail (not the shorebird cell).
Good luck to all and happy birding everyone!
Hillman Marsh is located NE of Point Pelee National Park (on Mersea Road 2,
Leamington)
