The long staying Varied Thrush made a late appearance this morning on at the Bark Lake conference centre feeders. We arrived at 8:50 people said it had not been seen earlier and we didn’t see the bird until 11:20. It dropped to the ground for several feeding over 20-30 minutes, then flew to the taller trees on the other side of the road from the conference centre.
