This morning I observed two small cormorants roosting on Hickory Island in the Cootes Paradise area of Hamilton. They were best viewed from the lakeside trails that are accessed from the Royal Botanical Gardens Arboretum. Both birds were on the outermost or topmost branches of logs/trees allowing them to stand out from the crowds of Double-crested Cormorants.
