Seven hardy birders gathered for the evening excursion – Dusk Birding Along
the Ottawa River.
Unfortunately, the river seemed rather unproductive compared to previous
years. Sadly, the large flocks of geese coming to roost never materialized
until after it became dark.
Regardless, we all had a great time with comfortable weather and wonderful
comradery.
We also had a few highlights among the modest total of 36 species including
White-winged Scoter, Surf Scoter, Fox Sparrow and a late Spotted Sandpiper.
A very special thank you to Derek Dunnett for compiling the bird list.

Cheers
Tony Beck
