Observation start time: 06:30:00
Observation end time: 14:00:00
Total observation time: 7.5 hours

Official Counter: Chris Burris

Observers: Keith Sealy, Matt Oswald

Visitors:
Thanks to Chris B, Matt O and Keith S for helping get today's count done.
There were a couple from Burlington who visited today.

Weather:
Temps ranged from 7C-10C. An odd wind layer cake started the day: N/NE low,
but with SW/W cloud flow up higher. Eventually things swung to more or less
NE and the cloud cover diminished – meaning that the raptor-types flew
increasingly HIGH as the day progressed. Consequently, even with multiple
pairs of eyes squinting hard, birds were undercounted.

Raptor Observations:
Nevertheless, nearly 1400 individuals were counted, and variety was good:
another Golden Eagle, a late Broad-winged Hawk, and a few more Peregrine
Falcons.

Non-raptor Observations:
Non-raptors included: Common Loon, Canada Goose, Double-crested Cormorant,
American Crow, Blue Jay, American Goldfinch, European Starling, Red-winged
Blackbird, Red-bellied Woodpecker, Downy Woodpecker, Northern Flicker,
Black-capped Chickadee, White-throated Sparrow, Song Sparrow, Carolina
Wren, Ruby-crowned Kinglet, Brown Creeper, Purple Finch, Pine Siskin,
Dark-eyed Junco, American Robin, Hermit Thrush, Eastern Bluebird,
Golden-crowned Kinglet, Northern Cardinal, Eastern Phoebe, Yellow-rumped
Warbler, and Horned Lark.

Predictions:
Wednesday is looking to be wet to start and even once it dries out winds
will be from the SW.
