The Nonquon sewage lagoons in Port Perry will remain closed to the birding
community for at least the spring season and likely the entire season.
There's absolutely no entry permitted by anybody onto the property.

The plant operators have asked me to pass on this message: DO NOT COME ON
TO THE PROPERTY AND /OR APPROACH THE ON-SITE OFFICES TO REQUEST PERMISSION
TO ACCESS THE LAGOONS. PERMISSION WILL NOT BE GRANTED AS THE FACILITY IS
CLOSED TO ALL MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC.

You will be turned away due to covid restrictions. I will update you if I
hear anything different regarding the status but please adhere to the no
entry/no contact provision that Durham Region has put in place. Thank you
Geoff
