I checked out the Winchester lagoons today and many of the birds were still present but the sites had changed. There were about 6,000 at the sewage lagoons on Cty Rd #3 and 9,000 at the dairy lagoon viewed from Alexander Street. All birds were on the banks, mainly resting. Still quite a few blue morphs but possibly fewer than Sunday. The lagoons are not open to the public.
