This afternoon a Black-bellied Whistling-Duck was found by Dawn Miles in the pond on the opposite side of the road from Rim Park in Waterloo… which is on the south side of University Ave East.
Parking information taken from Discord - “ Parking from University to New Hampshire turning onto Atlantic to access pedestrian path keeping right is probably fastest. Some ducks got spooked and flew away but as the duck had its head tucked in it didn't catch on fast enough and thankfully lingered. Thanks Dawne and Peter for the posting.” Good birding, Kiah Jasper -- Ontbirds and Birdnews are moderated email Listservs provided by the Ontario Field Ornithologists (OFO) as a service to all birders in Ontario.
