Observation start time: 08:00:00
Observation end time: 10:00:00
Total observation time: 2 hours

Official Counter: Andrew Sturgess

Observers: Mark Hainen

Weather:
Watching the radar today was similar to the running knight scene in Monty
Python’s Holy Grail movie. Rain seemed imminent at the start of the
watch, if not before, but it took two slow hours to arrive. We spent two
hours looking at a solid gray blanket of nimbostratus cloud thick enough to
give no indication where the sun might be lurking. The raptor results
matched yesterdays with no birds counted. Winds were from a good NNE
direction but had brought cool temperatures as welcome relief from the heat
and humidity of the last few days. Not Chamber of Commerce weather for the
Labor Day Weekend but a sign that fall is on the way.

Raptor Observations:
None observed.

Non-raptor Observations:

Predictions:
The weather tomorrow, as predicted, shows a good chance of rain and near
total cloud cover again. Thunderstorms may be scattered among the gloom. A
full watch seems unlikely. Winds will remain from the NNE and once this
system clears, Tuesday may be a better day.
