With a less than satisfying season it was good to hear that thousands
(unknown number) have been seen east of Lancaster in two areas. Birds have
been on the water as well as in fields at Westley's Point which is about 5
km east of South Lancaster on the South Service Rd. (the road begins at
McDonald's) This is normally an area more regularly frequented in the
spring. The birds are also heading further north up to Concession 4 so
checking roads in this area east of Lancaster may produce results. They
would go back and forth during the day between the two areas.
