Weather: Temp ranged from 9C to 11C. The wind was moderate from the WNW throughout the count period. Cloud cover was total at times, but occasionally offered peaks of blue and a higher ceiling. Raptor Observations: The flight was quite modest -- in retrospect, there probably just wasn't enough "north" in the WNW: Turkey Vultures were scattered from the Cliff to at least St. Thomas, and we had a report of two Golden Eagles photographed at the local sewage lagoons that presumably slipped past us to the north. Non-raptor Observations: Although there didn't seem to be a lot of passerines on the move, variety was fair and included a late American Redstart and another lone swallow that looked very good for Cave (but a bit too far to be 100% sure). eBird list here: https://ebird.org/checklist/S152787223 Predictions: Increasing sun and moderate pure NW winds are predicted for tomorrow. With these improved conditions, we're hoping for a bigger flight and some good looks.
