Weather: The day began clear and turned partly cloudy, then overcast. Temps from 5c to 14C. Winds were stiff WNW and, despite predictions, seemed to be mostly W by end of observation period. Raptor Observations: An okay start, but still disappointing for Day 3 of "NorthWestish" winds in mid-October. A late afternoon juvenile Golden Eagle was one of the few highlights along with a single Osprey. Non-raptor Observations: eBird list here: https://ebird.org/checklist/S198153482 Predictions: The forecast is for moderate N, switching to NW and sun -- it's worth a shot. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Dave Brown ([email protected]) Hawk Cliff Hawkwatch information may be found at: http://www.ezlink.ca/~thebrowns/HawkCliff/index.htm More site information at hawkcount.org: https://hawkcount.org/siteinfo.php?rsite=392 -- Ontbirds and Birdnews are moderated email Listservs provided by the Ontario Field Ornithologists (OFO) as a service to all birders in Ontario.
