After being closed since November, the parkway between Long Sault and Ingleside will reopen on Friday, April 17 at 11:00 a.m.
The river is free of ice except for distant remnant sections south of Hoople Creek bridge. This will remain until it sinks and it won't be much longer. Most of the divers have left but there are still 1500-2000 Ring-necked Ducks east of the Ault Island Causeway. Most were very far out. A couple of pairs of Trumpeter Swans are still around that area. As usual, the river is high with no shallow shoreline areas anywhere.
