Good morning birders,

Dawn birders witnessed a Pelee rarity this morning; sparse snowflakes
falling after a cold night. The Tip was relatively dead and quiet except
for a few flocks of BLACK-BELLIED PLOVERS and numerous continuing BLAD
EAGLES perched at the very tip of the sand spit.

Tilden Woods had at least two RED-HEADED WOODPECKERS putting on a show,
BLUE-WINGED WARBLERS and a HOODED WARBLER continue, and the PROTHONOTARY
WARBLERS are scouting their usual spots (both at Tilden and Woodland
Trails).

After a night of unfavourable Northern winds and some rain, the park is
relatively quiet, but the sun is finally coming and things are slightly
birdier than yesterday!

Happy birding,
Friends of Point Pelee and Quest Tours hike leaders,
Aaron, Max, Justin, Mike
